Banca d'Bozzelli

Bella Vista - South Philadelphia PA
This distinct structure at 7th & Fitzwater with a clock hovering over the intersection was once a cornerstone institution for Philadelphia’s early Italian immigrant community. Built in 1893, the Banca d'Bozzelli served as a trusted local bank to store savings, send money back home, and even assist in arranging passage for relatives making their way across the Atlantic. Over the decades, the building continued to be owned and operated by immigrant families, maintaining the cultural continuity even as its function changed.
