Oriole Park at Camden Yards

Camden Yards was a critical moment in modern stadium construction that envisioned a ball park reminiscent of the old world baseball fan experience. Moreover, the integration of the B&O Warehouse beyond the right field wall creates an incredible panoramic backdrop blending the site's history into the design. Opened in 1992, Oriole Park demonstrated that teams can successfully blend modern amenities with retro-charm and embrace the city surroundings rather than isolate from them. In addition, this project showcased the potential positive impact a central stadium can have on the surrounding neighborhood.
