Emerson Bromo-Selzer Tower

Baltimore MD
If your upwards view towards this iconic tower in Baltimore reminds you of your last trip to Florence, that's because this beautifully quirky structure was modeled after the Palazzo Vecchio. Beyond that, there was even an oversized rotating Bromo-Selzer bottle (depicted in this illustration) that was in place until the 1930s. To this day, the four-dial gravity fed clock is the largest of it's kind anywhere in the world. Although we lost the attached building in 1969, the tower survives today as a base for local artists taking up residence in this incredible piece of Baltimore history.
