The re-opening of the Kings Theatre in 2015 was another encouraging story of preservation, bringing back to life this lavish movie palace that had been closed since 1977. Hosting a variety of events, the theatre has re-emerged as a neighborhood focal point and cultural landmark of Brooklyn. This illustration pays tribute to the beautifully rehabbed façade and entry way along Flatbush Avenue.
